Charley Creek Gardens Announces
Fourth Annual Seed Exchange
The Charley Creek Gardens Fourth Annual Seed Exchange is scheduled for Saturday, January 14th from 9am to noon.
The Seed Exchange provides an opportunity for gardeners to share seeds that they have collected from their gardens or to acquire a seed they have been looking for. In addition, gardeners can share information with each other.
There are many benefits to participating in a seed exchange: 1.The Exchange saves gardeners from having to order seeds on-line; 2. The quantity can be controlled (not everyone needs an entire packet); 3. The event is free of charge; and 4. Bringing seeds is not a requirement to attend.
The Seed Categories for the event are Herbs, Vegetables, Annuals, Native Plants, and Perennials. The Charley Creek Gardens already has a limited supply of seeds for each category.
Guests need to arrive between 9-10am to drop off and have seeds categorized. At 10am individual seed selection will begin where each person will have the opportunity to select one packet from each category. The open seed swap will begin after the individual seed selection. There is no charge for this event. Light refreshments will be served. Please call the Education and Resource Center at 260-563-1020 for further information.
Don’t have seeds to exchange? Don’t worry, there will be plenty! See you then!
